Equipment Trials

At GMobility we understand that an important part of finding the right assistive technology solution is the opportunity to trial equipment in your own environment.

Larger & more complex items are available for trial in conjunction with one of our experienced Assistive Technology Specialists.

These trials are often conducted in conjunction with an allied health professional such as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist and can take place in our showroom, at your home or in a hospital or clinic.

Smaller, less complex items are available for trial in our showroom. If an in-home trial is required GMobility can assist to facilitate this through our loan program available to Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.

In home delivery & setup

Another important factor in ensuring the success of your assistive technology solution is the appropriate setup and instruction of your equipment. Within our area of operation GMobility offers a full-service delivery option which includes the delivery of the equipment into your home or facility including setup & instruction on the operational and functional aspects of the equipment.

Where setup and instruction is not required, delivery via courier is also available (note to ensure a high standard of service this option is only available on smaller, non-complex items).


GMobility understands that Assistive Technology is an essential in enabling people to live with independence. When equipment breaks or malfunctions there can often be quite an impact on the user’s livelihood or a facility’s ability to operate effectively.

To help minimize the impact of equipment breakdown GMobility offers a comprehensive service and repair workshop with skilled technicians to get your equipment back up and running as quickly as possible.

Repairs may be conducted on-site or in our workshop depending on the situation and equipment can be collected and returned by our capable team where necessary.

Preventative Maintenance

To ensure reliability and compliance with the relevant regulations we also offer preventative maintenance and inspection of a variety of Assistive Technology Products. Our services include…

  • Preventative maintenance for scooters and powered wheelchairs – Recommended every 12 months (or every 6 months for heavy users).
  • Periodic inspection of patient lifting equipment in accordance with AS ISO 10535 – Hoists must be inspected at the time intervals specified by the manufacturer but at least once a year. Non-rigid body supports (slings) must be inspected by at the time intervals specified by the manufacturer but at least once every 6 months.
  • Tag & Test in accordance with AS NZS 3760

Home Modifications

We work closely with Occupational Therapists and Architects to provide home modifications solutions that enable accessibility and aid in the prevention of falls.

Minor Home Modifications are completed by our own team of home modifications technicians.

Assistive Technology Relocation Service

GMobility offers a service to relocate our customer’s assistive technology.

GMobility can:

  • Dismantle and remove assistive technology from a client’s premises.
  • Transport equipment from one location to another.
  • Install and commission assistive technology at a client’s premises.
