Meet the Team: Five People Who Keep GMobility Moving 

At GMobility, our work is about more than equipment and modifications. Behind every delivery, phone call, and assessment is a team of people who care deeply about doing right by our clients and community. 

This month, we’re taking you behind the scenes to meet five people who each play a different role but who all share the same goal: making life easier, safer, and more independent for the people we serve. 

Teigan – Human Resources and Quality Coordinator: Driver of Culture 

Teigan’s warmth and empathy come through in everything she does. With eight years of experience in personal and palliative care, she brings a deep understanding of people to her role as HR and Quality Coordinator. Since joining GMobility in 2021, she has been dedicated to building a workplace culture where everyone feels respected, valued, and supported. Always ready to lend a hand, Teigan is known for stepping in to help her teammates, no matter what’s needed. 

Outside of work, Teigan enjoys reading and spending time with her nieces and nephews. When Teigan is at home, you can often find her working on her veggie garden and caring for her chickens, often sharing her fresh produce with the team. 

We asked other members of the team how they would describe Teigan: 

“Teigan is an amazing support! She is always there to lend a helping hand, even if it is outside of her usual scope of work. I often see Teigan serving customers in the showroom, picking stock for deliveries, and completing stocktakes with the warehouse team. Teigan provides a safe, comforting environment, allowing everyone confidence that their feedback is important and listened to.” 

Ayla – Customer Service Representative: The Friendly Voice 

Meet Ayla, one of our wonderful Customer Service Representatives at GMobility. Since joining the team in 2022, Ayla has been a steady and supportive presence, known for her calm nature, warm attitude, and genuine care for every customer interaction. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Always willing to offer a hand, and usually with a smile, Ayla brings both compassion and capability to the front line of our customer service team. 

Outside of work, Ayla enjoys traveling. She enjoys her adventures with her family, most recently experiencing helicopter fishing in the Northern Territory. Ayla also loves to bake and often shares new recipes she discovers, such as her famous Biscoff cupcakes. 

We asked other members of the team how they would describe Ayla: 

“We need more Aylas in this world. She’s kind, caring, and hard-working. Her kind and caring nature is a perfect asset to our team. I know I can go to her for anything, and she will always go above and beyond for me or any other team member.”  

Gareth – Assistive Technology Specialist: The Problem Solver 

Gareth is known for his kind and empathetic nature, paired with a practical, solution-focused mindset. Since joining GMobility in 2020 as a service technician, Gareth brings a wealth of knowledge in terms of his technical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities. Gareth put in years of hard work to become the incredibly skilled Assistive Technology Specialist that he is today and now works closely with clients and therapists to solve complex mobility needs with care and thoughtfulness.  

Outside of work Gareth enjoys motorcycles. He often spends holidays going on road trips with his wife on their motorbikes. He has also ridden overseas in Cambodia, Thailand, India and Indonesia. Gareth’s love of motorsports doesn’t just end with bikes he is also part of a team of GMobility staff members who participate in motor events racing cars

We asked other members of the team about how they would describe Gareth:

“Gareth is the best! He is always happy to help out, no matter how busy he is. He often helps do last minute maintenance repairs for clients to get them up and moving quickly. Gareth is a team player and will always do his best to make everyone else smile. We are so lucky to have Gareth.”
 

Gary – Warehouse and Purchasing Manager: The Organiser Behind the Scenes 

Gary is known for taking on any task with a calm attitude, a quick solution, and a good sense of humour. As our Warehousing and Purchasing Manager, he keeps stock moving, orders on track, and operations running smoothly behind the scenes. He became part of the GMobility team and quickly recognised something special — a group of people who genuinely care about doing right by their community. 

Outside of work, Gary enjoys spending time with his wife and five kids, often going on nature walks with them or watching them play basketball. Gary also enjoys following most sports, is an avid Magpies supporter, and loves to discuss the footy with the team. 

We asked other members of the team how they would describe Gary: 

“Gary is a hard worker. He is always busy and does an amazing job keeping the warehouse running smoothly. Gary is often supporting the other GMobility departments by answering questions and chasing up stock. He is hilarious and makes everyone laugh with his jokes. Gary is so knowledgeable and helps us all immensely.” 

Matthew – Assistant Technician and Delivery Specialist: The Reliable All-Rounder 

As an Assistant Technician and Delivery Specialist, Matt supports both the workshop and the field, making sure equipment is delivered, set up, and explained with care. He’s often mentioned in glowing feedback for his kindness, patience, and willingness to help. One customer described Matt as “very polite and helpful,” saying that he made their day. 

Outside of work, Matt lives on a working beef farm, embracing the challenges and lifestyle of rural living. He loves animals and in addition to his 36 cows, Matt has 6 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 11 cockatiels, 2 conure parrots, and 2 lorikeets. 

We asked other members of the team how they would describe Matt: 

“Matt’s compassionate nature is evident in all he does here at GMobility. Whether it is fixing a client’s equipment or delivering a new aid, Matt makes sure that the service he provides is genuinely helping those who need it.” 

These are just five of the many people working behind the scenes to make GMobility what it is. Local. Compassionate. Dedicated. We’re proud of our team, and we’re excited to introduce more of them in the months ahead.
